Why and when did you get into fitness/nutrition?
I started working out back in 2016, when my daughter was just one. I loved doing something for myself and found myself getting stronger, which gave me more energy. I have a history of bad anxiety and going to the gym helped combat the anxious energy I was used to feeling. I fell in love with Yoga because I always left class feeling positive and in a good head space.
It wasn’t until 2022 that I started to focus on my nutrition by counting my macros, reading nutrition labels, and taking supplements. That is when I had the best results as far as change in body composition
What is your coaching philosophy?
To make people feel capable of hard things. We psych ourselves out so much, I feel as though only a portion of the gym is physical. The rest is mental. Just because you can’t do something today doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do it tomorrow.
What’s your favorite food?
Peanut Butter! I incorporate it into macros almost every day.
What’s your favorite exercise/movement?
Single leg RDLs and headstands!
Fun fact!
I never did any sports as a child. Elementary through High school… Nothing. I love all things art, however, and won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference for a painting I did in High school!
